About us
Trace Maple is the family maple grove of Michel Théberge's family, on the southern range of Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, in Chaudière-Appalaches. The main activity is of course the production of maple syrup intended to be sent to the Fédération des producteurs acéricoles du Québec. The second activity, very enjoyable, is the making of maple products of all kinds, for family, friends and loyal customers from all walks of life.

In 1985, Michel built the current sugar shack with his own hands on his father's maple grove. From spring to spring, he perfected his equipment and techniques to make the precious maple syrup. He later included his children in the process by passing on his passion for transforming raw materials into fine products; from sap to syrup, then from syrup to butter, taffy, cones and all the products in his repertoire. The pleasure of preparing syrup during the beautiful spring days, surrounded by family, makes the passion for maple syrup time contagious.
For several years, Dominique has been in charge of making maple syrup, refining every detail to develop the right flavors and obtain the best final result. With his cooking diploma obtained in Gaspé and his experience in catering, he puts his knowledge to good use in the transformation of syrup and its by-products, thus improving on those passed down by his father.
Never far away during his university years, Jean-Gabriel puts his marketing and management skills to the service of developing the family maple grove, his bachelor's degree from Laval University now in his pocket. He works on modernizing the marketing of processed products and is always on the lookout for innovations and new ideas to bring to fruition.
The young brotherly duo is now putting their strengths and passion for maple to work in the family business by proposing a new chapter filled with innovation and creativity, while perpetuating tradition at its best.
